Cindy‘s passion is to create safe spaces where people can thrive. She works full time as a School Social Worker at Morristown High School supporting high school students with disabilities and mental health challenges. Her advocacy work is framed by her training in Social Justice and in Person Centered Planning. Cindy also utilizes Trauma Informed practices, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. Cindy is the mother of three adult children. Her role as the primary caregiver for her daughter who has exceptional care needs has been a major catalyst in shaping her life and her perspective.
Motivated by how yoga helped her balance the demands of her work and family life, Cindy did her first 200-hour yoga teacher training in Vinyasa Yoga. Cindy has many additional certificates including Restorative Yoga; Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Special Needs/Adaptive, and Children's Yoga. She is certified by Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT, RCYT, and YACEP (Continuing Education Provider) and is a 300 hour teacher trainer and continuing education provider at BeWell IHS yoga school. During the pandemic, Cindy completed a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy (2022) at Maryland University of Integrative Health, and is certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists. As a yoga therapist, Cindy has worked with a wide variety of humans, all arriving looking for integration within their minds and bodies and finding balance in their life. Her clients have ranged from attorneys and CEO's, adults with special needs, adolescents and children. |
